Are We Willing to Labour to Help Others?

Acts 20:34-35 "³⁴ Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.³⁵ I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Reading what Paul said brought me to question if we are willing to labor in order to help others. Are we, the Body of Christ, willing to sacrifice our time, our own needs and wants in order to help others? It's a good question. One that needs answering.

I can't answer for all but I can say that majority of us, including myself, are failing at this. You know, being a Christian is not about professing that we know Christ but that our actions show that we know Christ. How are we a Christian if we are not willing to sacrifice what we want for what others need? The necessity should outweigh the wants...always. When I mean necessity, I mean the necessity of others and not ourselves. God has us on that one.

Let's ponder how we can help others and act on how we can.
