At 32 years of age, I have been blessed to witness the numerous births and marriages of my family members and friends. I'm thrilled for each of their blessings. God is good! Yet, there is a longing within me wanting my own husband and my own children. My desiring for him and looking for him has caused me to look away from the One that is mine already. The Holy Spirit gave me insight in what I need to be doing instead of looking for. I should be married to Christ and not worry about my husband...he will come in time.
It's true ladies. I think many of us have the "Cinderella" mindset of marriages and children. We fantasize about our happy ending. We get tangled by what we want that we fail to realize what we need. What I mean by marrying Christ, I mean giving Him all of you. Don't allow yourself to be separated from Him. After all, we are His bride.
I have spent numerous times thinking about who my husband is and how our life will be and what our babies names will be (Esperanza, Israel, Faith, Grace, Hannah, Paul...etc). I call this "Never Never Land". I should have been thinking about how to improve my relationship with Christ. How do I improve it? How much am I giving myself to Him? Do I love Him & Him only?
People, if this was The Scarlet Letter, I would have to wear an A on my shirt. Why? Because I have cheated on Christ. I have left Him, seeking a man when I should have been seeking Him. I have thought that the love of man is more than than the love of the Man. I have waited on a man to come when I should have been waiting for Him to come. I have thought of him when I should have thought of Him.
I think we are getting point. For you ladies that are waiting on him, don't. Wait on Him. Look for Him. Cling to Christ. Marry Jesus. I guarantee you, if you put your focus in on Him and everything on Him, you will be satisfied and will feel the love that no man could ever give you. Plus, Jesus will supply all of your needs.
Your Sister in Christ,
Mary

Let Everything Go
I have been holding on to too much and all of that spewed out with a conversation with my friend. I mean I went into crying mode, talking to her about how I haven't let go of my grandmother's death or my nephew's and how I cope with eating. I let everything flow out of me. I realize that I have been holding on to things that need to be let go. I can't change things with my grandmother or my nephew. Lord knows my heart aches for them. It's not easy to say goodbye to a loved one, especially a child.
I've been wanting to talk to someone about this for awhile. It came out to her and let me know that I have to be real with God. There are things that I still hold onto with myself and with others. I haven't been able to let them go. Holding in my feelings have made me feel miserable. It came to me awhile ago. In order to grow, we must let go. We can't hold on. Jesus invites each and everyone to come to Him. He said that He would give us rest. I love that verse because as I sit here crying, I realize the Truth. I realize the comfort that He gives and His love for us. I realize that my Lord mourns with me. He cares for me. He wants to carry me if I only let Him. He wants me to let go.
Here it is: let go and grow.

King James Version (KJV)
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

God Has Done Extraordinary Things for Us!
God has done extraordinary things for us! He loved us so much that He sent His Son down for us, Who willingly gave up His life for us! He has used extraordinary people in extraordinary situations to accomplish His Will. He has not nor does He want for any of us to perish but to repent (2 Peter 3:9b). He has been very patient with us. Let us give up those hellish things and chase after heavenly things-chase after God the way He has chased after us. :)

Stop The Self Entitlement Attitude
People have to really let go of that "self-entitlement" attitude that they carry around. As if cussing someone out is going to really get you far in life. I shake my head at some of the things people say. I'm well aware, people, that the economy is in a downward state. Having said that, you are not entitled to every single thing in life. My mother has this saying that she told me early on in life. Life is not Fair. I believe that too. You are not going to always get what you want or think you deserve. So many complaints going on. How about stop complaining and start kneeling in prayer to God. How about take the good with the bad.
It is hard to deal with someone or empathize with them when they think they are entitled to every single thing. It's an easy attitude to catch. I have found myself like them. I shake my head at myself as well. Having said that, I have never cussed a person out for doing their job. Never! Granted, I don't like cuss words and am pretty non confrontational. Still, the point is, the attitude has to go. People have to start treating each other with respect. I will leave y'all with this from the One Who knows everything, Jesus, my Savior:
"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets." Matthew 7:12
Keep it Real People,
Mary

This Detrailed Train is Getting Back on Track
I have to be frank with each and everyone of you. I have lost my way in Christ. I have stopped living for Christ. I won't say that I have succumbed to it because I'm still here by the mercies of God. I have not surrendered completely and I sure as heck have not died. I have been a derailed train, trying to get back on track. I have no one to blame but myself. I have not been reading of the Word. That right there is opening oneself up to attacks that can't be fought off.
Let's think about that statement for a second. Let's think about what the Bible has said about the Word: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart," Hebrews 4:12. The Word is apart of the armour of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). This is our weapon. A great team has great offense and great defense. You can't win a game without the other one.
If the ballgame is tied 2-2 and you can't get your's runners home, you don't stand a chance at winning. The same is like this for us. How are we to win, if we have no offense-if we are constantly struggling with the world? We can't. We have to push forward. We have to fight back. The only way we can do this is by going into the Word. I'm beginnning in Genesis and will be doing a chronological study of the Word. I'm feeling WAY better than I did last week.
Remember saints that there is NOTHING nor ANYONE worth going to hell for!!! Keep pressing forward in our daily reading. Let's spend time meditating on His Word. If not, y'all end up like me: a detrailed train, trying go get back on tracks.
Pray for me brothers and sisters.
Love ya,
Mary

"Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help," Psalm 146:3.
Why is the churches putting politics in? Why are we building up men (#teamObama or #teamRomney)? Why are we not putting Christ up? It disheartens me to see a Minister put nothing up on her Facebook about Christ but degrading Romney and lifting up Obama. Can't we as the body of Christ see that the only One that will fix this nation is Christ Himself. No politician will be able to fix this mess we are in. TheWord of God makes it clear what we are to do as a nation: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land," 2 Chronicles 7:14. No where in this do you see Romney or Obama.

The Importance of Reading the Word Every Day
I have just finished reading Joshua Chapter 8. They had defeated Ai. It was a marvelous victory-a victory the Lord had given them. The battle is important but what stood out to me was how Joshua had wrote on the stones a copy of the Law of Moses in front of Israel. This was after he built and altar. They offered burnt offerings to the Lord and sacrificed peace offerings. Not only did he write on the stones, he read every word of the law. Not one word did he leave out. He read it in front of all of them including women, children, and strangers. It's important for us to read and study God's Word every day. In Joshua 1:8, God even told him to meditate on the Law day and night and that he would observe to do all that is in them that he may prosper and have good success. Psalm 1 even talks about the blessings of a man that doesn't walk in the counsel of the ungodly nor stands in the way of sinners or sits in the seat of the scornful. This man delights in the law of the Lord and meditates day and night.
Why Do We Need to Read from the Word Everyday?
Good question and I'm glad that you asked. For starters, the Word is sharper than any two edged word (Hebrews 4:12). The Word is a part of our armor that we ust wear that protects us against attacks from satan (for the armour, read Ephesians chapter 6). Secondly, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect throughly furnished unto all good works," 2 Timothy 3:16-17. "Study to shew thyshelf approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth," 2 Timothy 2:15. To put it in layman's terms: (1)The Word is our weapon (2)The Word profits us (3) The Word corrects us (4) The Word instructs us (5)The Word teaches us (6)The Word throughly furnishes us (7)The Word helps us divide the word of Truth from lies.
Christians need the Word like people need food and water. The Word sustains us and nourishes us. Without the Word, we have nothing. We perish.

Being Grateful For What God Has Done
Studying and teaching Sunday School is an awesome experience. The Lord reveals so much. This lesson was titled "Steadfast Thanks". It discussed the difference between the Od Covenant and the New Covenant, Mount Sinai and Mount Zion. Where there was terror for those of the old on Mount Sinai and not being able to approach God, it is different for the New. Why? Because Jesus came, died, was resurrected, and removed the separation that had been there. We now have access to God through Jesus. How awesome is that???!!!
We have so much priviledges with the New. Grace and the ability to be able to go to God now are just awesomle priviledges that none of us should ever take for granted. We also shouldn't take lightly or for granted what we have been called to do. We should always be grateful for the priviledge of being able to serve others. There should be no complaining or any ungratefulness. I know that we will stumble. When we do, we should remind ourselves of what God has done for us through His Son and be grateful for this. Thank You Lord!!!
So Free and so Loved,
Mary

The Truth
John 8:32 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
I've always heard the above verse. The truth will set you free would come forth out of TV shows or movies. I never knew that this was something that Jesus had said and that He was implying that He is the Truth and believing and receiving Him would set us free. He would lead us to eternal life. I always assumed that it was just a saying. I was wrong.
Jesus is the Truth. The Bible is the Truth. The thing about the Truth is that people don't necessarily like or welcome it. People often get upset if one is honest with them or if one dares to tell someone Merry Christmas or invites them to church or stands against something that is wrong. The world doesn't like the Truth. It never has and never will. We just have to continue telling the Truth, living the Truth, and showing the Truth.
I'm not going to say that it is easy because it is not. There are times that I just want to keep my head under the sand-be isolated but we can't. Always speak the Truth and always remember that the responses you get will not always be warm and fuzzy but may well be hostile and hateful. I look at the apostles. They did not die an easy death and they were constantly persecuted. If they had that to face we should expect a bumpy road ahead for us.
Tell the Truth and Shame the Devil!

Are We Willing to Labour to Help Others?
Acts 20:34-35 "34 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive."
Reading what Paul said brought me to question if we are willing to labor in order to help others. Are we, the Body of Christ, willing to sacrifice our time, our own needs and wants in order to help others? It's a good question. One that needs answering.
I can't answer for all but I can say that majority of us, including myself, are failing at this. You know, being a Christian is not about professing that we know Christ but that our actions show that we know Christ. How are we a Christian if we are not willing to sacrifice what we want for what others need? The necessity should outweigh the wants...always. When I mean necessity, I mean the necessity of others and not ourselves. God has us on that one.
Let's ponder how we can help others and act on how we can.
Much Love from your Sister in Christ,
Mary

Overlooked No More
8/27/12
"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent," Acts 17:30.
Reading Acts is just an awesome experience. I have been learning some new information. The Lord has been marvelous in His giving to me. Thank You Jesus!
Verse 30 in chapter 17 stood out for me. My King James Version Life Application Study Bible defined winked as "overlooked." It hit me how true this was.. The Lord, wanting us so dearly to find and reach out to Him, has overlooked quite a bit. He is truly full of mercy. He has put up some mess. Having said that, He wants it to stop.
2 Peter 3:9 states the following: "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." The Lord does not want us to perish. He is wanting us to repent, to reach out to Him. He wants us with Him. He wants us to acknowledge Him, to admit that we need Him. And yet, we are where we are: a world full of carefree, selfish, prideful, hateful, lustful, greedy, lying, whoring people. Those descriptions are just the tip of the iceberg.
People the point of this is that this world is full of sinners. Sinners that have ignorantly and intentionally have went their own way. Now, it must stop! The Lord has given this world so much and has asked for so little in return...The Lord will no longer hold us blameless. He will hold each and everyone of us accountable for our actions. No longer will He "wink" at it.
He is not overlooking "it" anymore. He shouldn't. God has sent His Son to die for us. We have redemption through Jesus. So, "ignorance" will not cut it as an excuse as we no longer have an excuse.
There will be a day when Jesus will come back again and judgement will come forth. Let's stay on track saints and speak the gospel to as many people as we can.

Remembering How The Lord Saved Me
8/26/12
I just got done reading Joshua chapter 4. The Lord had commanded Joshua to instruct 12 men (one from each tribe) to bring 12 stones. These stones would be a memorial to what the Lord had done. Just like when He had parted the Red Sea, the Lord had dried up the Jordan so that they could ge through. When asked they were to inform their children of what the 12 stones were for. What an awesome memorial. What an awesome thing the Lord had done for them!
This got me to go back to how the Lord had saved me. I want to share my story. Granted, you will get the short version as it can go on and on. Lol! Having said that it is still powerful.
When I was growing up, I always felt that there was something wrong with me. I would lose my anger real quickly, for no apparent reason. I would become depressed. I would have hissy fits. All of this began real early for me. I would say around 4-5 was this how I was feeling. My parents did all they could for me in terms of disciplining me.
They were forced to get me help when I was 12 after I tried to kill myself. Things got worse after my grandmother died. I cussed at God. Where was He? Where was the God that I had learned about from my parents? (I should note that my parents told me about Jesus but it was never deep nor did we ever attend church. I attended one VBS and that was the extent of it). I ate and ate. I hurt myself physcially from scratching myself. Things did not get better in college.
I continued to gain weignt ( I still, sadly have this issue, which I have gotten to my highest weight. Highest weight that was notated: 364. Although, I'm certain it is now higher). On the positive side, the Lord had tooken away my depression and suicidal thoughts. Yet, I was still unsaved. I went out and drank and smoke (once. I through up and gave up that mess). The Lord had been reaching out to me. I didn't know it at that time but He was.
My sister told me about the Left Behind books. I didn't do anything about them at the time. I had no interest in them. Rather, I was reading suspense, romantic comedies at that time. Heck, I even read the Davinci Code. Saved or not, I didn't agree with that book at all.
Anyways, I had walked into a Fry's and some guy handed me a track. I was walking on my campus and another person handed me the same track. One night, I placed a phone call for a ride to my sister and saw a picture of Jesus. I took them home. I drew closer after the Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins (authors of Left Behind) interview in which I watched. They were countering (& rightfully so) the movie Revelations that NBC was airing (that thing was so untrue). They talked about the mercy of God and how that He was showing mercy by waiting. Each day the rapture didn't take place was a sign of God wanting to get every last one in that would come in. I was convinced at this point that the Lord had wanted me.
It was not until about 2 years later, that I became born again. I quit the drinking. I found a church home. Now, the Lord has called me to teach His Word. I'm a missionary at my church and feel that the Lord is leading me into newer territory and to a deeper relationship with Him. I'm so thankful to Him. He is so amazing!
We should always remember how the Lord has tooken us out of the bad and has resuscitated us successfully. We have been redeemed by the blood of Christ!!! Praise Jesus!!! That is my testimony! Church remember your testimony!!!

Acts 16:16-24
Doing the right thing often offends others who then begin going after us. Paul casts out a spirit from a slave girl. This costs the girl to lose the ability to fortune tell. Of course, her masters were profiting from this. They lost their profits and go after Paul and Silas, dragging them to the rulers, accusing them of troubling their city and preaching something that went against them. They reacted negatively because they had lost their profit..
This brings up a good point. Our fight is not with people but against principalities (supernatural spiritual powers, whehter good or evil > in this case evil), against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, & against spiritual wickedness in high places!!! That's our fight.
When we go against satan and his army, persecution will come. Let's think about this. Every soul that hears the gospel from us and is saved by God is costing satan losses-not profits. he doesn't profit from us going against him. He has come to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus came to give us life and more abundance of life (John 10:10). If he is not stealing, killing, or destroying, he is not profiting! The good news people is this: Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4) & we have overcame satan and his army!!! Yay!!!
Saints, remembeer the battle & remember to stick to the Truth no matter what or who it costs you!!! Our job is to keep satan from profiting and helping others get saved. Stick with the Truth Brothers & Sisters in Christ.

Finishing Our Work
(8/19/12)
"Saying, This Man began to build, and was not able to finish," Luke 14:30. An awesome Word from the Lord came today. Our Pastor preached about not being just another face in the crowd. she came from Luke 14:25-33. To me the above verse stood out. It hit me: Will I be able to finish? A question that hit me just now is: Will I be able to fight the good fight or Will i be able to finish my course? (2 Timothy 4:7). How said will it be to hear the dreadful words, Depart from me, I never knew you. All of it would be because I didn't finish. In order not to finish something, you run into distractions (people or things) or some kind of hindrance (again people or things). I don't want my works to be incomplete or in vain. Time is winding down. So, we must go into overtime with what the Lord has called us to do. Question is: Will we complete our works & finish strong for the Lord or will we crumble under the pressure? Fight on Saints!!! Let's complete our works!!! Let's stay with the Lord in everything!!!

Truly Blessed!
(8/15/12)
I'm so guilty of this just like many of my Brothers & Sisters in Christ are as well. Many of us tend to forget about the awesome blessing the Lord has done for us. He opened the door to faith to us gentiles (Acts 14:127). We were graffed in (Romans 11:17-24). Having said this we must not be proud nor despise what the the Israelites contributed to our faith. Blessed but not prideful! Be thankful for the Lord Who has shown the light of salvation to us gentiles as well. He is truely awesome. Feeling blessed & loved :)

Don't Be Misguided or Blinded By Someone's Lifestyle
(8/14/12)
Not only does society do this but Christians as well have been guilty of looking at someone's lifestyle & assume the worse. Rahab was a harlot. In our age, she was a prostitute. Having said this, she had a knowledge & believed in God & how He was giving the land to His people. She helped the spies & in return asked for safety for her family. They made an oath.
The thing is if we just look at her lifestyle, we're unable to see more of who she is. God sees a believer, one who will help & does. We see her as a harlot. When God led Samuel to David, He let Samuel know what to do. "But the lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his contenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart" 1 Samuel 16:7. God chose David to be the next king. He was the youngest & a shepherd-not exactly king material but the Lord knew him-knew he had a heart after His (Acts 13:22).
We cannot & must not look upon someone's lifestyle & think we know who they are. We don't. So Brothers & Sisters in Christ, judge not. Don't be misguided or blinded by what we see. Outward appearances don't let us know who they are. All we do is love them, bless them, pray for them, be kind to them, & know that God knows who they are. We don't. The appearance or lifestyle of a person by no means is the end of them. The Lord works things out of people.
Rahab is an example that there is more to a person than what we see.

Prosperity & Success = Meditation Night & Day on The Word & Not turning to the Right or To The Left
(8/13/12)
Reading Acts & Joshua. The Lord led me to Joshua. It hit me in 1:7. We are to be strong & courageous, turning neither to the right nor to the left that we may prosper wherever we go. How am I going to prosper if I keep derailing myself to the right or to the left?! There is no prosperity in derailment. Nothing but wreckages & baggages thrown all around. In verse 8, it further illustrates the importance of meditation night & day, observing & doing what is written (being a hearer & a doer > James 1:22). You succeed & prosper only through this. I've been messing up big time. If I keep on writing this down, I'm a thinking it's not good. I want success in the Lord not a falling out!! Prosperity & Success = MEDITATING, MEDITATING, MEDITATING, sticking to the WORD & not deviating from the WORD!!!

We Are NOT "Common"
I was reading Acts chapter 11. Peter retells what happened to him in a vision to a group of people calling him out for interacting with gentiles. Peter had a vision correcting him to not call what God has cleansed "common". The samething applies to us Christians. We are not "common". We are SO much more. We're a "chosen generation", a "royal priesthood", a "peculiar people". We are not common. We are so much more. We need not put each other down nor ourselves neither should we listen to the "world" in their "interpretation" of us.
The world hates us because it first hate Jesus (John 15:18). They call us "homophobes", "bigots", "haters", and other names. We are NONE of those things. We are Christians! We are PECULIAR! We are a "CHOSEN GENERATION"! We are a "ROYAL PRIESTHOOD"! God has designated us as this. We are pretty awesome as His creation, as His people. Don't think negative. Don't let people belittle you. You are who you are in Christ! Keep your heads up Saints.

Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy has took a not so popular stance. He supports traditional marriage. He has been under attack for his beliefs. The devil is working over time. We the Christians must stand up and stand firm in our opposition to gay marriage.
I'm not surprised that many people are going after him. These are the same group that went after Bristol Palin's son who may have or not have used the f word that is offensive to homosexuals. How low has society gotten? Not as low as it can and will get.
We are living in the end times. Satan is pressing his way into homes, into schools, into movie theatres, and into churches. He does not care who he hurts. He has come to steal, kill, & destroy (John 10:10). We must understand that we fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). We must put on the whole armour of God so that we will be able to stand in the evil day (Ephesians 6:13). The Word of God is not joking about this.
I find myself getting very angry with those that are attacking Christians. I feel the hypocrisies that comes out of them, the hatred that comes out of them. Yet, I cannot help it but love and pray for them and myself. Because truly, this mess wracks my nerves. The irriatation level has risen up and my anger is coming forth. I can't be angry with them but with my real enemy Satan: the liar, the killer, the destroyer, the author of lies, the prince of darkness, the serpent...Must I really go on.
The point church is that we must stand firm in our Christian values and standards. We must hold on to the Word of God. We must hold out, fighting the good fight of faith and laying hold to eternal life. Let us not fear anyone nor worry about what others think. When they attack us, we must look at it with joy because Jesus was attacked. He was persecuted. He was hated. As we are the Body of Christ, He is still being attacked, He is still being persecuted, and is still being hated. This is just temporary but eternity with Jesus is permanent.
Stand your ground Saints. PRAY, FAST, CONSECRATE!!! PUT GOD FIRST IN YOUR LIVES!!! INTERCEDE FOR THIS NATION!!!

So Many Congratulations So Few Recognizing God
My friend Lynette is having a baby. She found out that she is having another girl. How awesome is that! Being the devout Catholic that she is, she not only announced the news, but she ended it with this "God is good :)". She recognized and gave credit to the One Who blessed her womb. Yet, I see so many comments telling her congratulations. Yet, there is not one recognition, besides my comment, that backs up that comment. The congratulations are great, but what is better is giving praise and glory to God for this awesome blessing He has bestowed upon them.
This is not the first nor will it be the last time that people will not acknowledge how good God is. They will immediately congratulate and leave it at that. It's a dog gone shame that people will not recognize how great God is. They don't acknowledge this. It's sad. It states so much about this nation. The congratualions are quick to come in and slow are the people (if they do) to give recognition to God.
This nation needs prayer. I believe James 5:16b, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." This nation, this world, the people need prayer.

Inspiring Word of God
I love reading Acts. I feel that so much has came from it. The Lord has truly blessed me with the reading of His Word. So far, I have learned that the chuch needs to have joy and compassion, be on one accord with one another. I have learned that we have to be full of faith and of the Holy Spirit. I have also learned that persecution is going to get worse, especially for us Americans, who have yet to see what others have seen around the world. Yet, the Lord revealed to me on Sunday, how many Christians were facing death and being violently treated, and yet, they are continuing to sing and praise God. How awesome is that! Most of us have yet to experience this and yet, Sunday after Sunday, I feel like church has a slow start-that many coming in are just dead weights. I hate to be so blunt about it, but the truth is the truth.
How is it that when there is least persecution we can't muster up a smile, be compassionate, or shout to the Lord? How is it that those that are facing worse situations that we are not only willing to but are praising Him? What does this say about us?
1)It says that we Christians that have it good are ungrateful. There is absolutely no gratitude. How can we not be grateful? Shaking my head.
2)It says that we are not thankful. If you can't get off your behind and jump for joy, singing and praising God, there is an issue. God has given us so much and yet we have given Him so little in return. What is up with this church?! The spoiled nations see what goes on in the other parts of the world. You would think there would be some thanks there...yeah :(
3)Christians are not doing what they are suppose to be doing to fight the good fight. Christians have become very lazy and selfish. It's an ugly fact but a fact none the less.
The list goes on and on. It's not a list that I'm proud of but one of which I'm ashamed. I have been guilty of these things. I can't lie, but I will not stay like this. The Lord has truely blessed me. All He asks of me is to be a hearer and a doer, to respect Him, to obey Him, to do His Will that He has for me. He is not asking anything of me that He has not asked of others. We Christians must remember that. If we have the resources, if He tells us to do it, than do it. Don't ask Him questions just do it.
Wow! that quickly changed from where I was going, but the Lord placed this within me and I will not ignore it. We need to be revived big time. We need to come back after the Lord, to remember our first love (Jesus). Let's not die out Christians, but press on and be renewed by the Lord.

Full of Faith and Full of the Holy Spirit
I have just read Acts chapter 7. Stephen is an incredible person. He was chosen to help with the distribution of food. He was full of Faith and Full of the Holy Ghost. This man had done "great wonders and miracles among the people" (Acts 6:7). He was also the first martyr. The leaders couldn't argue with him and win. So they lied and arrested him (Acts 6). In Acts 7, we don't see him defending himself. Rather, he boldly calls them out. He makes it known that just like their ancestors, they were resisting the Holy Ghost as their ancestors did. Just like their ancestors they were persecuting others. They had betrayed and murdered Jesus. Stephen didn't have to defend himself. He fully let them know the wrong they did. They stoned him.
I have to say that I had never really went deep or studied Stephen before, but I did after this. He was able to do miracles, wonders, and call the people out because He was full of faith and of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost empowered him. We need to be like him. We need to be full of faith and of the Holy Ghost. Faith enables us to persevere in this walk. It enables us to know and believe the Word of God. You can't be empowered by the Holy Ghost and have no faith. We must be full of faith and of the Holy Ghost.
Despite what we go through, we must maintain our faith and seek the Holy Ghost. We must have full faith and the Holy Ghost. Stephen did. Even when they were stoning him, he prayed for them. A person without faith, without the Holy Ghost couldn't do that nor would they.
Remember Saints our faith and empowerment matters in order to continue fighting the good fight, to preach the Gospel, to teach the Gospel, and to be emboldened despite the persecution we face. Be full of faith and of the Holy Ghost.

When Things Come About
From the past blogs, I have been reading Acts. I've just finished reading chapter 4. Every chapter has shown me some new insight. The Holy Spirit has shown me how the early Christians, the newbies (as I like to call them), behaved towards one another. Acts 4:32 shows how they were of one heart and of one soul. It goes on to show how none claimed anything as his own but shared and how they helped one another out by selling their possessions to get money, which they distributed to others depending on their needs. So, we see how great they were at being one with each other and helping one another. But the one thing that I want to focus on ins this chapter is how we handle a crisis.
Peter and John were arrested and threatened. Rather than listen & succomb to the threats, they testified of what had happened. They refused to not talk about what they had seen or heard. They were emboldened by the Holy Spirit. When they went back, they testified of what they had experienced with the threats. They all prayed on one accord, praising God, telling Him of the issue, and asking for His help. He answered. After they had prayed, the place was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. They spoke the Word of God with boldness.
How many of us pray about our problems? How many of us testified about the things that come up? How many of us praise God and ask Him for help? When things come about whether they be good or bad, we should always testify about them and be on one accord with each other while praising God, while telling Him about the issue, and while asking Him for His help. As we see what happened with them, God answers prayers.
Our response should match our faith. If we have strong faith we should be able to testify about the things we go through. We should all be on one accord. We should all pray to God, praising Him, & telling Him about the situation and asking for His help. There is no need to run, no need to hide, and certainly no need to worry about the situation when God is more than capable of handling our situations. Praise God! Glory to Him!

Stop Acting Ignorant!
Peter, in Acts Chapter 3 verse 14, made it clear that the people had participated in the crucifying of Jesus through ignorance. They were ignorant of what they had done. Having said that, the prophets had spoken about what would be. In verse 19 Peter states, "Repent ye therefore, and
be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of
refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord." It was time for them to stop being ignorant. It was time for them to repent, to be converted. Just like there will be a time for us to stop being ignorant. That time is now. Now is the time to be converted, to repent.
People can't play the ignorant card anymore. Many people have heard the Word, and instead of choosing the light, being lovers of their sin (darkness), they stay in the dark. They stay in their sin. That is where the condemnation comes from (John 3:19). It's not that people don't know. It's that people know and would rather keep sinning then to pursue the relationship with Jesus. They love their sins more than they do God. And in the end, they can't claim ignorance for they already knew.
People, it's time to stop acting ignorant! Many know but do no better. None of us are ignorant. We either know and accept the Word or we know and continue to pursue our sins to hell.
Granted, there are some areas that have yet to receive the Word, but you can know this, those areas will be covered. God's Word will get from here to the End of the Earth. People will hear the Truth. They will hear the Word. None will ever be able to proclaim ignorance. Now is the time people to accept the Truth, to embrace the Word. Jesus will come back one day. Do you really want to wait until the Rapture? Are you willing to go through the tribulation because of your sins? Worse, are your sins really worth going to hell for?
These questions and this lesson comes from love. I love all and pray that people receive the Word. No one will be blameless on that coming day of the Lord. All will accept responsibility for what they choose. Now is the time to come to Jesus and pursue that relationship that He so desires for you. NOW is the time to STOP ACTING IGNORANT!
What Happened To The Church?
I'm reading Acts as part of my Bible Study with my church. It's amazing what I have seen in the first two chapters. I saw the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, Peter emboldened by the Holy Spirit, souls being saved, and a body that worked together, that helped each other, that gave, gladly. They took care of each other. They ate with each other & they were happy. Reading this, it led me to ponder what happened to the church?
This question is with love & sincerity. We have friction in the church. We have a divisive church. People will not associate with the other churches because of denominations. Let's not mention that asking others to give in order to help others is like pulling candy from a child. You know that child will end up kicking and screaming. The church has to become more responsive, more compassionate, more helpful, more Jesus oriented instead of "Self-Oriented." Many of you know what I'm talking about. Walking into a church these days and listening is not as what it should be. Many leaders are not preaching by the Holy Spirit. Their preaching of self. They are not seeking prosperity of souls but prosperity of finances & materials.
With all of this said, what happened to the church? When I mean the church I mean the body of Christ. We have to do better. We have to pray. We have to fast. We have to get back to our first love of Jesus Christ. We have to put the Lord's interests ahead of our own. It's not about us. It's about Him. We must come together as One body, united together under One God, One Son, & One Holy Spirit. It's called unification. It's time we unite to do the work of the Lord. It's time to get back where we began and sincerely, gladly help each other, help others, and seek to get souls saved. Let's put aside our wants & needs & embrace what the Lord's wants & needs are for us.

I'm Not Giving Up On God or His Will For Me
I know that I have said this before but I'm gonna say it again. The past few months I have been going through some things. Things that have distracted me from seeking the Lord, from reading His Word, from wanting to do His will. I say no more to that. Time is drawing near. Now is the time to prosper in the Lord, doing His Will. The Lord has called many but few are chosen. I don't know about many of you, but I want to be in that Number. I want to do the Lord's work. That's why I'm saying this right now: I REFUSE to give up on God. I REFUSE to neglect my gift & turn the other way. I REFUSE to be overcome by the world. I REFUSE ALL distractions in the Name of Jesus!
The devil is working overtime to distract us, to persuade us, to change us. We are not to give in. We are to do the Will of the Lord, using the gift He has given us. James 4:7-8 states the following: "(7)Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (8)Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." You can't resist the devil if you are not submitting yourself to the Lord. You have to draw near to God and He will draw near to us. We have to have ourselves cleansed and purified. NO MORE double mindedness.
James 1:8 states this about a double minded person: "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. If you are unstable, if you are wavering, you are still in the double minded mode, meaning that you believe in God, but that you have not made up your mind to give up the materialistic or ungodly things of your life. You have to choose. Is it God or is it the world? Make up your mind. I made up my mind to follow the Lord, to not give up on Him or His Word, and to not neglect the gift that He gave me (1 Timothy 4:14).

Stop Keeping an Eye on the Clock & Go Witness
"(6)When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? (7)And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. (8)But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth," Acts 1:6-8)
I find myself guilty of the one thing that many of us Christians are guilty of: focusing on when Jesus is coming back instead of getting out and being a witness about Him. His disciples wanted to know if He at this time would restore the kingdom to Israel? He informed them that it was not for them to know the times or seasons. They would receive power by the Holy Ghost and they would be witnesses for Him in Jerusalem, Judaea, Samaria, and to the end parts of the earth. They were not to be consumed by the time or the hour of when He would restore the kingdom. Rather, they were to focus on being witnesses about Him.
The message today, my Brothers & Sisters in Christ is this: Stop Keeping an Eye on the Clock & Go Witness. Jesus made it clear to them that they were to be His witnesses (Acts 1:8; Luke 24:48). I love Mark 16:15. He commanded them to "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Matthew 28:19-20, "(20)Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (20)teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." How are we to teach or preach to them if we are too consumed by waiting for the Lord to return. It is not the job of a Christian to wait, being consumed of when He will return, but rather to ensure that many are prepared for the coming of the Lord through our witnessing.
Saints, lets get out there and inform people. Let us shine our lights before men so that they can see and glorify the Lord. Let us be the witnesses that the Lord called each & everyone of us to be. Let us not think about ourselves or the hour, but rather do what the Lord has commanded each & everyone of us.

Heavy Heart
People aren't going to always like you nor your stance on issues such as abortion or gay marriage. As a matter of fact, Christians will have to endure name calling, bullying, and other forms of persecution such as being killed for our beliefs. John 15:18 states, "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." The world is going to hate us and does hate us. It hates Jesus. Everyday we see this in how people behave, how they mock Christians, and how they treat others in the Christian faith. It's not fun.
My heart is heavy because the people I love can't see to understand what the Word says as oppose to what the world says. I was just defriended from Facebook because I oppose gay marriage. Apparently, he felt that the link that shows that we are standing together against gay marriage, is a form of discrimination and hatred. He also let me know that he wanted nothing more to do with me. It hurts but the fact of the matter is that I know that the Word supports me on this. I know that the Word is with me.
Having stated this, I'm sad for this young man because I love him as we Christians are suppose to love others. I want the best for him and his soul. It pained me to read his words, but the fact of the matter is that his stance on gay marriage is wrong. I'm sad about it.
More prayers are needed for the lost. More prayers are needed for them to open their eyes up, to be receptive of the Word. We need a world wide revival!
Dear brothers and sisters let us fight the good fight of faith. Let us stand behind the Word all the way despite opposition and the hurtful things that are said. Remember this, who are we to please people or God? Who do we stand with: the world or God? We stand with God. We seek to please Him.
Remember, when the times get rough, just pray about it & let the Lord work it out. Place all things in His hands.
Yes, I'm still sad for this old classmate, but I will pray for him, still loving him.

Don't Waver
James 1:5-8
King James Version (KJV)
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
We as Christians must be faithful to God. We must not waver, but stand firm in His Word. I know that there are some times that we are completely exhausted or that are trying, but the Lord is the same God yesterday as He is today. Nothing changes about Him. This is the same God that parted the Red sea, that delivered His people out of Egypt, that sacrificed His own Son for us. When we see a task as impossible we need to reverse it and know that with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26; Luke 1:37). Let us not see the impossible but the possible.
Merriam-Webster dictionary online let's us know that being unstable is "not stable, not firm or fixed, not constant...apt to move, sway, or fall". If you can't make up your mind (double minded), if you can't stay still, firmly, if you can't believe, you are going to fall. My Life Application Study Bible (KJV) equates doubt with waves. Waves are unsettled. They get tossed around and that is the way a wavering Christian is. You are being tossed around, unable to stop and be firm. You have to put a stop to wavering.
You have to make up your mind today. Do you believe the Lord or do you have doubt? If you have doubt you are wavering. You are displeasing the Lord. "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" Hebrews 11:6. You have to believe.
I know that we hit rough patches. We get hit with a curve ball. How we respond to it shows us where we are in our faith walk. We can't get consumed with them, but trust them to the Lord. My family & I are dealing with my brother's diagnosis of throat cancer. I can't say that I haven't cried because I have. Yet, I know that the Lord is a healer. I know that He is the same God that raised people from the dead, healed the sick, and brought mobility to the paralyzed. The only thing that I can do is pray, believing that the Lord is able to heal and that He will heal my brother. By His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24). Jesus offered further proofs that belief is necessary. "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive" Matthew 21:22. Key word here is believing. Key question: Do you believe?

Servant of the Lord
Servant: "one that serves others...one that performs duties about the person or home of a master or personal employer" (Merriam Webster online: www.merriam-webster.com). James was a servant of the Lord and identifies himself as this in James 1:1. He performed duties for the Lord.. He was not only a hearer but a doer of the Word (James 1:22). I realized when I read the first verse that servant stuck out for me. I had to get a definition of it. the definition fits it. We are to be servants of the Lord. We are to carry out His Will for us. Jesus made it clear in Matthew 12:50 that those that do the Will of His Father are the same as His brother, sister, and mother. In other words, we are apart of His family if we do God's will. To be a servant, to be a part of the body of Christ, we must obey the Lord. We must carry out the duties He has for us aka His Will. From this simple verse, I have learned that servitude is a must. We must give ourselves away so that God can use us. We must put aside our wants, desires, needs, and focus on His wants, His desires, and His needs. We must become His servants. It's about Him-not us. Let's serve the Lord people. Let's be His laborers. After all "...The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few." (Matthew 9:37).

If It's Not One Thing...
I found out officially yesterday that my brother has stage 2 throat cancer. He is going to start chemo. I had to take a breather. I'm sorry, but it's really a shock. My brother is 30 years old. I didn't see that one coming. You know my brother & all of us have typical brother & sister relationships. We argue & sometimes fight but I love him still. It's hard because he can't talk about it. My mom thinks that he is scared. I can't blame him. I am too. I know that the Lord didn't give us a spirit of fear, but I am worried for my brother. The only thing I can do is put everything in God's hands.
Let's not mention that my blood sugar is doing weird things. Yesterday, it was at 78. After I ate it went up to 103. This morning it was at 58. It could explain why I am so exhausted. It's not depression after all. So that's good. Having said that, I'm going to the doctor soon to see what's up. I pray that it is nothing serious like diabetes or typhoid or low iron. I pray it's just my body trying to tell me that I need to lose weight asap.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, pray for me. Pray for my family. We need all the prayers that we can get. I love each and everyone of you.

Depression Is No Joke
I believe what I have been going through has been depression. Let me tell you about depression: it definitely is not fun. I have laid in bed for several hours after I got up. I may go back to bed in a few. It's not good to feel this way. I have to hit the Bible big time, seeking the Word of God because I know that, as a child who battled depression, depression does not go away easily. It can suck the life out of you. It really messes you up emotionally and physically. If you have the worse kind, suicidal thoughts start coming in & I DO NOT want to open that door again.
I know Satan is working overtime trying to steal, kill, & destroy. We must not give in. I must not give in. With depression, thoughts become messed up. You begin thinking this way and that way. You begin feeling that no one loves you or life is not worth it. I know that has happened with me. I have let the devil work his way back in. It's totally my fault, but it ends right now. I will not be depressed anymore. Satan will not keep me from attending church Sunday mornings nor will I give him power to dominate my mind or my heart. He CAN'T have me! He CAN'T have my family!
I encourage each and everyone of you that is going through this, fight back. Embrace the Lord and His Word. Hold on for dear life. The Lord is our Strength! He is our very Help in the time of trouble! He will get us through this. Hold on & hold out. Praise God, Praise His Son, & Praise His Holy Spirit! Thank You Jesus.

I Wish I Could Say...
I wish that I could say that I completely love my job or that life is great at my new place. The fact of the matter is that I really want another job outside of dealing with tech support. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for the job I have and the position the Lord has given me. However, it seems as though things are not going great.
I'm so exhausted all the time. I don't know why. I feel so sleepy. Like right now, I feel like going to sleep and will try to in a few. Let's not mention the fact that my friend has not called me or tweeted me or anything else for that matter. She did Facebook me once. I just feel all around horrible. How am I to feel? I feel down. I feel alone. I feel like more bad things have come out of this. Let's add to the fact that in another week I will begin taking calls. So, nervous about this.Yet, I know that the Lord has blessed me with it. I'm going to have to rely 100% on Him for a physical, emotional, & spiritual rejuvenation. Because I definitely need it.
I'm going to lay down right now. I'm so exhausted it isn't funny. I feel like crying because of all of these things and the fact that I'm physically so spent. So frustrating. Lord help me! My help & strength comes from the Lord!

Happy Tuesday
I hope everyone has a happy Tuesday. I encourage all to read the the Lord's Prayer every morning. This is the Lord's Prayer:
Matthew 6:9-13
King James Version (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Just Give Me Jesus
I've been going through some things. It's not easy. I miss my former coworkers and friends. I miss talking with my friend from church and work. I feel horrible sometimes & lonely. Yet, I know that the Lord has blessed me tremendously. I'm thankful for what He has given me. I really am, but I do miss the important people in my life.
I've been attached to this song that I'm going to post in a few. It's called Give Me Jesus by Jeremy Camp. It's so right on. The repeated, stand out verse for me is this: you can have all this world, just give me Jesus. That's so true. I shouldn't nor do I care about the things of this world. My new job doesn't fulfill me. My new apartment doesn't fulfill me. Making new friends and acquaintances doesn't fulfill. Just Jesus fulfills me. He is always there. I have to start leaning more and more on Him & not anyone or myself. When I do, I know that He can take away the loneliness. And now without further ado, the song that I love.

Until Next Time...Lord's Willing
When you find that all you need is Jesus, things will become easier.

Under The Weather
I'm not one that usually gets sick. The Lord has blessed me in this department. When I do feel down, I'm usually battling my sinuses. This morning, I was way, way under the weather and had checked in at my bathroom. I had abdominal pains. I was on the toilet. My face was in the toilet. It was horrible. I couldn't go back to sleep. I was praying to the Lord in terrible pain. He answered my prayers as I don't feel as bad as I did at 5:40 something in the morning.
I had woken up some where at this time with sharp abdominal pains. I went to the bathroom. It was coming out. I still felt no relief. So, I began throwing up. I felt a tiny amount of relief. I was crying. Let's not mention the fact that I had the egg burps and it's that time of the month. Lord knows I'm in enough pain when it's that time of the month, but to add this to it was just bad. For some reason as well, with this virus, I'm bleeding heavy. It's been so heavy, it's been going everywhere on the toilet and myself. Disgusting!
I know this is graphic, but this stomach virus was definitely no joke. I missed church! Aflac has the commercial that it doesn't hurt to miss work. In this case, it does hurt to miss church. I wanted to be there. I knew I would be sleepy because I was still up at 12:00 am & I live about an hour away, but still...
Thank God for parents that care. My dad and mom went & got me some feminine products, ibuprofen, and some soup and juices. My mom had made me tomato soup and has helped me with cleaning my clothes and blankets. I so appreciate it.

Rapture Dream(s)
Verse (Leader)
I pray we'll all be ready (2 times)
I pray we'll all be ready for his return
I pray that we'll get our business straight
So we can all meet at the gate
I pray we'll all be ready for his return
Two men walking by the road
One of them had a heart pure as gold
The sky was split and the pure in heart raptured away
But one of the other one left behind who did not purge his heart in time
Cried to the Lord but for him it is too late
I pray that we'll all be ready
Chorus (Choir repeats while Leader Ad lib)
I pray we'll all be ready (2 times)
I pray we'll all be ready for his return
Leader
I pray that we'll get our business straight
So we can all meet
Meet at the gate
I pray we'll all be ready for his return
Verse (Leader)
Man and wife in their bed
One of them by the spirit lead
The rapture came and took that one above
The other one rose on the next day to found their love one raptured away
Oh what a way to lose the one you love
I pray we'll all be ready
Choir repeats Chorus with Leader as Leader ad lib)
Leader (ad lib)
Everyone in the room tonight, I pray
I pray that we'll all
For his return
I pray that we'll get our business straight
So we can all meet at the gate, I
Repeat chorus (moving up)
Leader ad libs
Oh, oh, I pray
I pray that we'll all, be ready
I pray that we'll all be
For his return
I pray that we'll give our hearts a search
So that we won't be playing church
I pray we'll all
I want to be ready for his return
Verse (Leader)
Momma and children in the mall
Their momma heard the Master's call
She was swept into the by and by
It's hard to rely on your momma's prayer
When your momma is no longer there
Learn how to pray, learn how to pray
While you still have time
Yeah…..
Leader (ad lib)
Oh, I pray
Everyone in the room tonight
I pray
How many want to be ready when he returns
I pray we'll get down on our knees
So the Lord can wash us clean
I pray we'll all be ready for his return

I had a dream last night or several in one, depending upon how you look at it. I kept waking up in my dreams. It was as though I was dreaming in my dream. Each dream consisted of chaos. There were smoke. People were missing. When I mean missing, I mean they had disappeared literally. I tried to call my friend to see if she was around, but she wasn't. I knew that she had been raptured. I cried and layed down in one dream. I knew I had missed the rapture. I woke up, relieved. In another dream, I literally saw little dots going up in the air. It was like they were souls. I looked outside. There was total chaos. There was smoke coming from the land, which appeared to be a mountain. The news was breaking the story. I knew again that I had missed the rapture. I told my parents. I was so upset. Then, I woke up. Another dream had me asking Brad Pitt to build a shelter undergound in a home with a hidden room with it. I knew that trouble was coming. I woke up after this in my dream.
I was so relieved when I woke up for real. Yet, I knew that the Lord was sending me a message. That message is get right or else I will miss the rapture. That is definitely not something I want to miss. I don't want to be left behind. Those that are left behind will have to encounter the Anti-christ. They will have to face being put to death. It let's not even mention the the seals and bowls. It literally will be a living nightmare for those that remain on the earth.
When I woke up this morning, I quickly got dressed. I also deleted CSI: NY and stopped automatically recording them as I know that I have been lusting after one of the actors. I know, it's embarassing. I prayed to God on my knees. ( I usually pray to Him but hardly on the knees. I'm going to have to start doing this). I'm thankful to God that it was just a dream. Yet, it was a huge wake up. Get right!
Until Tomorrow or later...Lord's Willing.

Who We Allow To Influence Us
Psalm 1 (KJV)
1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
I was reading this morning Psalm 1. I have decided to begin reading one Psalm a day to wake me up, to use as a personal devotional time in the Lord. I have also decided to try to blog about each and everyone of them, depending where the Lord leads me. Psalm 1 lead me to how we interact with others & who we allow to influence us. What I have learned & applied to myself is that, I have been allowing the wrong influences on the job & off the job. I have sought counsel from people that are not Christians. That is a problem because Psalm 1 clearly allows us to see that this is the complete opposite of what we are to do. Furthermore, 2 Corinthians 6:14a states the following: "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers." This applies in marriages but also friendships. We must, including myself, understand that the world is not our friend. Ungodly people are not our friends. They are people that are lost, that don't have positive influences, that are corrupt, and most importantly need our prayer. We need to positively influence them. We need to pray for them. We need to show them love & help them. We do not need to turn to them for advise.
Think of it like this: if you are trying to find a destination, would you seek directions from someone that does not know where that destination is or would you seek it from someone that knows where it is and how to give thorough instructions? Exactly. You would seek help and advise from someone that clearly knows the directions & is able to help you.
We have to understand that unsaved people cannot help us, but we can help them. We can be a blessing to them. That's what we need to be. We need to be a help for them, allowing God to be the Help for them. We have to have a positive influence on them. We have to shine our lights on and off the job, in and outside the home.
Furthermore, & most importantly in all of this, is the fact that we need to know Who our ultimate Help is. The Lord is our Help. His Word is our directions. It guides us and leads us on how to act and what to do in situations. 2 Timothy 3:16 states the following: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." An example for me would be yesterday, when my brother was about to make me go off on him. I bought him a burger for him to be kind to him, but he couldn't give me an hour in the room to myself to study the Word of God. I quickly had to search a scripture to find help in my anger and wanting to go off on him. I found it in Ephesians 4:29-32. It informed me that I need not to have "corrupt communications" coming from me. In other words, I needn't say aweful, ungodly things. I was not to grieve the Holy Ghost. I needed to let go of anger, wrath, bitterness, clamour, evil speaking, and malice and be kind towards him. I was instructed to be "tenderhearted" and forgiving just like Christ has forgiven me. This Word helped me to see that having any negative reaction was ungodly. It was also unsound. Granted, I did mess up a bit when I pointed out his behavior, but it would have been worse had I allowed the anger that was starting to build up inside me go out of me and to him.
Lessons I learned from this Psalm is: (1) don't seek advise or counsel from ungodly people (2) seek the Word of the Lord in ALL situations, meditating upon His Word (3) the righteous (born again Christians that are actually born again Christians, living how the Lord would have them to live, doing His will) shall be saved & the wicked will perish.

My Cubby Hole
Does anyone remember way back when we were in Kindergarten where we had cubby holes for each of us? When we came in, we were instructed by our teachers to put our items (book bags, pencils, etc) in there. They held our items for us. (Granted someone did take things from others at some point, but for the most part they pretty much kept our items).
Today, I had an emotional day at work. It was a personal thing. It hurt so bad that I couldn't respond after awhile. I just had to stay quiet and focus on work. I felt like crying (at one point a tear did come into play, but I brushed that away). I didn't want to cry. 1. It was at work 2. It would activate my sinus & I'm just recovering from that (I didn't want to go back). The irony of the situation was that I had just read from a link talking about problems in the church. One way to cope with was to remember that people aren't perfect. I tried to focus on that, and let go of the bitterness that was slowly but surely making its way in me. It didn't help. I still felt hurt, anger-mixed emotions.
After work, I went to the gym to work out, and I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes. It was AWESOME because I kept telling myself that I couldn't do it-that 10 minutes was enough, if not too much. I let my energy focus on exercising-not food or eating. Praise and glory to God for this because most of the time I would cope with emotional issues with overeating. Yet, I couldn't eat. The Lord took that away from me.
When I got home, I began rehashing the points that hurt, and the thought of a cubby hole came into my head. My Cubby Hole is Jesus. When I give Him things, when I place my worries, cares, hurts, anger-everything with Him, He takes care of them. Unlike the cubby hole by man's hands, Jesus 100% takes care of them. He is a Protector of our souls. I thank God for Jesus. Jesus is gonna take my hurt away, and allow me to forgive and forget. I know this as I place all in His hands. God is truly AWESOME! Glory to God!
I also know that my imperfections, God will help me with. Lord, I'm not perfect. I know this. I give this to You God. I pray that You take away them Father-that You help me overcome them as You have overcome the world. Thank You Jesus :)
I love this song by Michael W. Smith. I want to share this with you. How appropriate it is.

New Blog
I have decided to begin a new blog for my personal diet journal. I'm going on a diet, and have decided to post things about this diet that I'm now on. I'm in the process of creating it. The link will be mypersonaldietjournal.blogspot.com. It will be inclusive of my struggles, contain Biblical Scriptures to help, my food journal, drawing strength from the Lord, my weight, age, height, and other things. I want this journal to be an encouragement for others, because many struggle with obesitiy. I know that the Lord will help me with this. I want this to be my testimony that glorifies the Lord. I pray that many find encouragement through this blog.

Learning to Trust God
I love this. My friend actually emailed this to me awhile back. My other friend on Facebook reminded me of it when she posted it. I wanted to share this with all because all of us at some point have issues with trusting God. Most, if not all of us, need to learn to trust Him when minor or major things happen to us. The script is as follows:
Me: God, can I ask You a question?
God: Sure
Me: Promise You won't get mad
... God: I promise
Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?
... God: What do u mean?
Me: Well, I woke up late
God: Yes
Me: My car took forever to start
God: Okay
Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait
God: Huummm
Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call
God: All right
Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?
God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one
of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that
Me (humbled): OH
GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.
Me: (ashamed)
God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.
Me (embarrassed):Okay
God: Your phone went dead bcuz the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.
Me (softly): I see God
God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.
Me: I'm Sorry God
God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.
Me: I will trust You.
God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.
Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.
God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...
Me: God, can I ask You a question?
