Reason For the Season is Jesus

The reason for Christmas is not shopping. It's not shopmas, but Christmas. It's not about shopping and certainly not about some dude in a red suit, delivering gifts to good children in the world named Santa Claus.  I look at the ending three letters of Christmas which is mas. Mas is Spanish for more. That's what we need more Christ. Instead, we are so consumed by consumerism we forget that this day is not about us, our gift giving or gift receiving; it's about Christ. It's about Him coming down in human form. It's about what He did for us. He was the gift of our Heavenly Father. Jesus gave us the gift of salvation through His blood when He died on the cross for us. Through His resurrection we have the victory; Satan was defeated! Thank You Jesus! Hallelujah! He is worthy to be praised! As my Pastor preached last Christmas, Jesus is the Gift that keeps on giving. So true.

As we shop for our loved ones, let us also reflect that this time is not about our gift giving, but our Heavenly Father's Gift. Let us give Him the praise, the honor, & the glory every day of the year.

Until Next Time...Lord's Willing.
